Primary Schools Leadership Conference

The Primary Schools Leadership Conference commenced 5 years ago when SGBCLLEN collaborated with assistant principals who had identified the need to develop a program to support young leaders within their schools. This year the major focus of the program is enterprise education which helps students develop enterprise skills that they can then use in their schools. The Smoothy Bar program delivered by TRIPOD involved 100 students from 18 schools throughout South Gippsland and Bass Coast. Students were involved in creating a smoothy product and creating a marketing campaign to help promote health whilst developing skills in critical thinking, problem solving, team work and financial literacy.

Feedback from the day:
“The program was very interactive and hands on, setting students up for real life scenarios. The skills students learn today will filter through to the junior school as this model can be used in future for school fundraiser activities”
