Supporting our young people

SGBCLLEN works towards building partnerships to create education, training and employment experiences for ALL young people, inlcuding alternatives to the mainstrain pathways. We do this by collaborating with government, schools, industry and community on projects and iniatives aimed at supporting young people in South Gippsland and Bass Coast.

Some of our main focuses include:

  • Promotion of vocational education and trianing (VET) pathways
  • Helping schools and students find structured workplace learning (SWL) placements
  • Linking schools and students to industry through industry immersion tours and activities
  • Supporting and creating career development activities
  • Facilitating work-readiness programs and activities
  • Supporting and promoting science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) through programs and activites
