Students shown first hand health career options

Health Camp Day 3. Students from Foster Secondary College and Leongatha Secondary College had an exciting day of learning about careers in health. They toured Gippsland Southern Health Service’s Leongatha campus, hearing from health professionals like dieticians, OT’s, physiotherapists and an allied health assistant. Hands-on activities included CPR, hand washing and a simulated birth. Over lunch, they got valuable insights on study options and study assistance available from CUC Bass Coast. The last stop for the day was to learn about courses offered locally at TAFE Gippsland and to explore their facilities, including a simulated patient mannequin.

Thanks to Gippsland Southern Health Service and TAFE Gippsland for hosting us!
