Inspiring Young People – Mirboo North Secondary College

SGBCLLEN supported Mirboo North Secondary College to host an ‘Inspiring Young People’ (IYP) event last week for year 11 students. IYP events demonstrate how school industry partnerships and community can add great value to young people’s learning journeys and raise career aspirations. The events engage adults from a diverse range of careers to come together to share their own career pathways and mentor the students.

Speakers on the day included TravelManagers – Emily Turner , Julie Bickerton – Allan Farms, Tricia Leone Intelligence Analyst – Victoria Policeand Beau Vernon Head Coach Leongatha Football Club.

Thanks to the mentors and all those who supported the event. We had a wide range of mentors from organisations such as Gippsland Water,  Cottage Garden Threads and Mirboo North & District Community Foundation.
